1. IMG Academy, FL, 25-0
2. Corona, CA, 22-11
3. Stoneman-Douglas, FL, 29-0
4. Orange Lutheran, CA, 20-12-1
5. Lewisburg, MS, 29-8
6. Farragut, TN, 36-8
7. Harvard-Westlake, CA, 21-9
8. Flower Mound, TX, 37-10-2
9. Catholic, LA, 36-3
10. Archbishop Moeller, OH, 31-3

Others -- 11. Bishop Gorman, 36-2; 12. Hamilton, AZ, 26-5; 17. Notre Dame, CA, 28-4; 29. Huntington Beach, 21-9; 30. Puyallup, WA, 25-6; 34. Valley Christian, CA, 31-4; 36. JSerra, CA, 24-9; 44. Basic, 25-9; 49. Casteel, AZ, 27-6

PG's comments:

11. Bishop Gorman
2023 Record: 36-2
Head Coach: Chris Sheff
Notable prospects -- C Burke Mabeus (Oregon), SS Maddox Riske (USC), RHP Henry Prindl (South Carolina), SS Colton Boardman (CS Northridge); RHP James Whitaker (LSU), 3B Nolan Eberwein (USC), 3B Kekoa Young, OF Mason Tanner, C Ryan Hunter (Rice), OF Ace Sapp

"Another staple program on the national scene, Bishop Gorman also won another state title in 2023, finishing the year as one of the best programs in the country (#4 in final rankings). They lost some real physicality from that senior group that made them pretty deadly on the offensive end, but this is a good group full of guys that either contributed heavily last spring or are primed to step into key roles.

"Burke Mabeus is the big name here as a switch-hitting catcher who can really headline an offense, but he's got depth around him in the form of more upperclassmen. Henry Prindl is a good arm for this staff, while James Whitaker will continue to be relied upon heavily to log quality innings. They lost two games last year by a total of two runs, it's going to be hard to replicate that, but they should be strong once again."

*

NOTES -- Hamilton (#12), Basic (#44) and Casteel (#49) are all in the Boras Classic with the Gaels; Valley Christian (#34) will play in the All-Faiths Classic; and Corona (#2), Orange Lutheran (#4), Farragut (#6), Harvard-Westlake (#7), Huntington Beach (#29), Puyallup (#30) and Casteel join Gorman in the USA Invitational.

COMMENTS -- As usual, Perfect Game is not perfect, to say the least. It has Gorman's record at 36-2 which is one win more than the actual record . . . Some of the positioning is incorrect . . . Who is Mason Tanner? . . . The editing could have been a lot better, but who cares in this day and age (If it ain't right, don't fix it?) . . . It's a bit befuddling (befuddling?) where PG got all the info . . . Basic is underrated at #44 . . . Harvard-Westlake may be over-rated at No. 7 . . . There are others that raise a few eyebrows . . . In the end, these guys do a decent job. As I said, they're not perfect, but who is?
